Biography
Roberto earned a Juris Doctor degree with one of the top law schools in the Philippines and was admitted to the bar in that jurisdiction, doing private practice in law firms and serving as an in-house legal counsel for an educational corporation.
After moving to Canada, he completed the prescribed examinations of the National Committee of Accreditation of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada before being called to the bar in Alberta.
His experience as an attorney in a hybrid (mixed common law-civil law) jurisdiction lends a unique perspective to his legal practice.
In his free time, Roberto enjoys reading matters concerning military and political history as well as spending time with his wife and kids.


Biography
Sukhleen is an Internationally trained lawyer who started her legal career in Canada with our firm. A passionate advocate and litigator, she feels proud to be able to support and care for those who, sadly, have been hurt by someone else’s negligence. She has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and Court of Queen’s Bench and has experience in alternative dispute resolution including Mediations and Judicial Dispute Resolutions.
Sukhleen is passionate about client communication and maintains that timely and equitable compensation is achieved by her clients. She has had opportunities to work with senior counsels on complicated and critical claims involving Trials.
Sukhleen speaks Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu fluently. She brings to her work her cross-cultural comprehension and communication abilities.
Sukhleen adores spending time with her family and is a proud mom of twins!!!


Biography
Zaineb graduated from Middlesex University of London with a Bachelor of Laws and completed her articles at Martin G Schulz & Associates. Her practice is concentrated in criminal law and personal injury.
During law school, Zaineb focused on international human rights and humanitarian law. She interned at the European Court of Human Rights Advocacy Center which are expert human rights lawyers that challenge human rights abuses in Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Ukraine at the European Court of Human Rights.
In her second and third year of law school, Zaineb volunteered multiple times a week with UK Advice, a government-funded organization that provided legal advice to low-income families in London, UK. She provided advice on immigration, contract law and housing.
After graduating from law school, Zaineb interned at the NGO Migrant Report in Malta. She was tasked with writing a legal report on the looming migration crisis in Libya. This article was published by the NGO MOAS in 2017.
In 2019, Zaineb attended the International Law Academy of International law located in the Peace Palace in the Hague, Netherlands. During her time in The Hague, she attended the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court and the Special Tribunal to Lebanon. Zaineb is currently a Coordinator for Amnesty Canada on the chapter of Israel, the Occupied Territories and the State of Palestine.
Zaineb utilizes her interest in civil and human rights to advocate passionately for the fairest and just outcome for her clients.

Biography
Chris graduated from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Law in 2020. Before attending law school, Chris obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Criminology from the University of Western Ontario. He joined Martin G. Schulz & Associates as an articling student in the summer of 2020.
During law school, Chris was heavily involved in Student Legal Services of Edmonton, Criminal Law Project. Working with Student Legal Services provided Chris with trial and courtroom experience while assisting those charged with many types of criminal offences.
Chris is committed to helping clients navigate the legal system and being an effective advocate for those in need.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys cooking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Biography
Carlo is a legal assistant/accounting assistant here at Martin G Schulz. Carlo was born in the Philippines and raised in Edmonton. Carlo graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance with previous experience in the automobile industry, Carlo continually learns and strives to sharpen and improve his skills as a legal/accounting assistant at the firm. During Carlo’s free time, he enjoys watching sports such as basketball, hockey, and boxing. Carlo is a big fan of the Edmonton Oilers and Russell Westbrook. He also likes to run, exercise and travel.

Biography
Roxanne Ivy Rodriguez supports legal counsel in personal injury, real estate, family and immigration practice. Her responsibilities include due diligence, drafting agreements, assisting with closings, general real estate support, immigration applications, drafting and finalizing pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Before joining Martin G. Schulz & Associates, Roxanne worked in different industries like oil and gas, airlines, and customer service including managing and supervising small businesses in the restaurant industry.
Roxanne was born in the Philippines and grew up there. She and her family moved here to Canada in the year 2014. Most of her work experience before legal work was in travel and tourism management. She loves spending time with her family, attending concerts, travel time with friends and watching Korean series.
